Scripture: “Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come…” — 1 Timothy 6:19
When we give, we are not losing. We are investing. Scripture speaks of real reward in the life to come. The sacrifices made for Christ are not forgotten. They are remembered and repaid.
Too often we minimize heavenly reward as though it were secondary. Yet Paul anticipated his crown with confidence. God’s promises of reward are meant to motivate perseverance and generosity. Nothing given in faith is wasted.
Questions for Reflection:
- Do I live with eternity in view?
- How might my spending change if I saw generosity as eternal investment?
- What is one sacrifice I can make this week for eternal purposes?
