Devotion: The Peace of Christ

Scripture:
John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth…”

The world constantly searches for peace but rarely finds it. Its solutions depend on stable circumstances, financial security, or emotional control. When those things disappear, peace disappears with them.

Jesus offers a different kind of peace — His own peace. God remains perfectly calm because nothing surprises Him and nothing falls outside His plan. The same peace that belongs to Christ is given to believers through the Holy Spirit.

This means we can remain steady even when life feels chaotic. Our peace does not depend on perfect circumstances. It rests in the certainty that God is in control of every moment.
