Scripture:
John 14:30
“The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.”
When Jesus spoke these words, He was about to face the cross. Satan believed he had secured victory. Yet the cross would actually become the place where Christ defeated sin, death, and the devil.
Because Jesus rose from the dead, the Spirit of God now lives within believers as the guarantee of that victory. The enemy still attacks, but he no longer has ultimate power over those who belong to Christ.
Believers do not need to live in fear of spiritual opposition. The Spirit who lives in us is greater than the one who operates in the world. Christ’s victory has become our victory.
